I hope you had a wonderful holiday season.
Now that we are a few weeks into 2014, it is time to buckle down and focus on getting traction with our projects, activities, and businesses.
First … business consolidation is underway and wealth concentration is increasing so it is imperative to be in some kind of business that cannot be amazon-ed or consolidated.
Next … we are in the age of machines.
It is clear that it does not take as many people to operate, or grow, our economy as it used to take … so many are asking … where will the jobs come from as machines and computers become more pervasive? As a result, entrepreneurial fever is kicking into high gear and every day close to 70,000 people are looking into starting a new business.
No matter what the cheerleaders say, we have a bad economy and people are in poor shape, financially.
The percentage of people buying items strictly based on price is increasing from 5% to 25% of the buying population … and this is huge increase. In order to not have your product or service perceived as a commodity, and hence priced by the market at the cheapest price, you will have to wrap around your offering a high-valued service.
Finally … the days of having a “provided retirement” are over.
For those that can, there is a hurry to accumulate and store the value of as much cash as possible using the newer and better alternative wealth creating strategies; these are in huge demand at this time.
For those that can’t, there is a rush to establishing a working retirement and many desire that these be something other than “greeters at a big box store.”
As a result, cost-effective Home Businesses opportunities are in demand so that the Baby Boomers, who are the off-spring of the greatest generation, can setup a working retirement so they are able to work anywhere.
So … the best career tip I can provide is to learn how to become an entrepreneur, get self employed, and generate portable income so you can work anywhere. Be willing to live for a few years like most won’t … in order to live for the rest of your life, like most can’t. I spend my time helping others like me, Corporate Types and Baby Boomers retool their career, rebuild their life, and restore their financial success.
